Monday Night Ladies Bible Study:

We have just started a new study: Beth Moore’s “A Woman’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place.” This study has recently been re-written and revised. The last time we offered this class was in 2003. This new material will provide daily reading assignments, plus an hour video with discussion. This will be a good way to start your new year with daily Bible study. Facilitated by Lisa McNamee in the SE classroom.

Monday Night Men’s Group:

Heritage-men of all ages come on and join us to study, learn, talk and support each other. We will meet in the SW Classroom. Have you ever been listening to a sermon, or discussion, and you had no idea who the Bible characters were? Or did you know the story that was being talked about? We are in a course that goes through the entire Bible, and will explain what the stories mean for us today. Very light reading for the week and a lot of discussion and prayer on Monday night - men only. Facilitated by Tom Haynes.

Tuesday 9:00 AM: Mom Time:

Plan to join us for Body Sculpting in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am followed by Mom Time in the Parlor at 10:30am.

Thursday Nights at the Compass:

Women’s Study: “Jesus the One and Only” by Beth Moore. This is one of the best video studies and it is a favorite. Join this casual group at 7:00 pm at The Compass. Facilitated by Triss Masters. New ladies welcome.

NEW Men’s Group:

Young Men or Old Men with a Young Heart. Meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. 8:00 to 9:00 pm (never going late). This will give you time for dinner and whatnot with your family. Very casual, meet in the Church Parlor. This group is to give us a place where we know we will get good counsel, and have a small group of men we know we can count on. If you’re not involved in a small group, this is the place. The first week we will answer, or try to, two questions. 1) Why isn’t God described in Genesis 1:1? – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” 2) What happens when you tease a bald man? I will try to have these two types of questions every week and make it exciting, and true to today’s times. Please try to make it. Contact Larry Fredricks at 727 709 5835 or larrynfredericks@yahoo.com

WALK BY FAITH BIBLE Study:

The Book of James, Guidelines to a Happy, Christian Life. A combination of curriculums by John MacArthur and Max Lucado will be used, but it is not necessary to purchase any books. All text is provided. We meet the first and third Thursday evenings of each month, 6:30-8:30 PM in the Parlor. Light snacks and fellowship at 6: 30; Bible study at 7 PM. To register for the Bible study, please call Marsha Hurtz at (727)796-1298.

Friday Mornings:

Friday 9:30 AM:

Ladies Bible Study Our study is “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan. It’s crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe-the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor-loves us with a radical, unconditional, self sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. This book may just change your life. This study has very manageable reading each week. We hope you will join this group of women of all ages.

Friday 10:00 AM:

Young at Heart for Retired & Senior Adults. Mel Swets teaches a study of Galatians, Ephesians and Philippians. Coffee, pastries, study and lunch. What a great way to spend a Friday.

Friday Nights 7:00 pm:

Friday Night Life:Bible study at the Compass. Are your weekends hard to fill? Join this casual group designed to help fill your Friday nights. We will start a new study by Andy Stanley, “5 Things God Uses to Grow Your Faith; Receive Big Faith from our Big God.” Facilitated by Diane Osborne. After the study, at 9:00 pm there will be optional breakout activities. The group is very diverse; couples, married, single men and women, friends, mom's w young teenagers…all are welcome.

Marriage Encounter Weekend, April 23-25

A Marriage Encounter is a weekend away from home, family and responsibilities where, in a comfortable environment, a couple is guided in the discovery of new techniques of communicating and sharing with one another. Sessions are held Friday night through Sunday afternoon. Marriage Encounter is not a marriage clinic. It in no way attempts to solve any problems. Couples do not disclose their problems to the group or lead couples for discussion or criticism. It is NOT a group oriented weekend. Marriage Encounter is scheduled for April 23-35 at the Holiday Inn Express on Ulmerton Rd. Contact Jim and Carol Reese (eseercm@aol.com or 799-0927) or Bill and Vicy Goodwin (bv.wa@verizon.net or 797-1624) to register or for more information.
