Registration Frequently Asked Questions
If my child is registering for VPK, what do I do after I have registered online?
You need to download and print your forms, turn it in by the due date, and then obtain a COE (Certificate of Eligibility) from the Coordinated Child Care Office. More information is available at www.childcarepinellas.org/voluntary.htm. Due date for the VPK COE is <TBD>.
Do you offer a 3-day class for my 4-year old?
No, not at this time. The state has attendance rules that prohibit you from sending your 4-year old only 3 of the 5 days.
What are your tuition fees?
See "Tuition" or on your Registration form you turn in with your payment.
I have a 3-year old and a 1-year old to register. Which one should I do first?
When you login all of the class choices will appear and you can make a selection for all of your children at once.
What happens if the class I am interested in shows "Waitlist"?
You may choose it, and be on the waitlist for that class OR you make another selection, if available. You may NOT choose both. If you choose waitlist, do not turn in forms and fees at this time.
May I take a tour?
Yes, but you must contact the Director, Nancy Mitchem at 727.796.1329
Waitlist
Parents may put their child on a waitlist once a class has been filled during Registration. Parents may also add their child to the waitlist during the school year. Once the preschool is notified of an opening the Director or the Assistant Director will call the first person on the waitlist. Parents will be given 24 hours to accept or decline the spot. This procedure continues until the spot is filled. Please note that once classes begin a child that is currently enrolled will not be moved to another class, even if they were on the waitlist.
