Are you curious to know how your Faith Promise is being given to missions? At the main information desk is a yellow printout of mission spending for the time period of the Global Mission Celebration in mid-March to the end of October. The 2010 Report was handed out to everyone at the beginning of March 2011 and is still available upon request.
This is a listing of how the decisions are made on where to give:
- Some of you designate your Faith Promise to certain missions and that is honored.
- All mission trip PROJECTS (NOT lodging or travel expenses) are funded by your
- Five missionaries are funded at a constant level on a monthly
- As special circumstances arise, the Director of Missions responds after prayer and leading through the Holy Spirit.
- Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, there is a team of three people who pray diligently and meet monthly to pray in one accord to discern howwould want the available mission money to be distributed. This month, among others, $1000 was allotted to purchase gloves and sweatshirts for the homeless at Pinellas Safe Harbor. We ask the whole church to pray over us as we pray over the mission spending.
